Sleeping Warrior recently conducted a 31 mile observation test of Maughold Head Lighthouse in the UK, from a mere 2 ft. observation height. The lighthouse has a focal height of 213 ft. Under the globe model, 587 feet of should be hidden under the earth’s “curvature.” Therefore, the light from the Maughold Lighthouse should be hidden by 374 feet!
